Half of the electricity supply additions come from wind energy
Wind energy accounts for about half the new electricity supply contracted by BC Hydro in the 2008 Clean Power Call, which is finally close to completion.

As of May 6, 2010 an additional two projects have been selected for an award of an Electricity Purchase Agreement (EPA).
Two projects are still under consideration. Additional project selections will be posted as they are made.

Vancouver and Victoria — Four power projects, including one that will install 66 wind turbines on the northeast coast of Vancouver Island, have been approved under a new purchase agreement by BC Hydro.
